How do I change the calculation method?
Go to Preferences → General → Prayer Calculation → Calculation Method. Choose from ISNA (North America), Muslim World League, Egyptian, Umm Al-Qura, and more.
Why are my prayer times different from my local mosque?
Prayer times can vary based on calculation method, location accuracy, and local adjustments. Your mosque may use different calculation parameters. You can adjust times manually in Preferences if needed.
How do I enable notifications?
Go to Preferences → Notifications → Enable Notifications. You can customize which prayers you want to be notified about and how many minutes before the prayer time.
How do I set a manual location?
Go to Preferences → Location → Location Mode → Manual. Then search for your city or enter coordinates manually. This is useful if automatic location detection isn't accurate.
What is Ramadan Mode?
Ramadan Mode shows Suhoor (pre-dawn meal) and Iftar (breaking fast) times. Enable it in Preferences → General → Ramadan Mode. It will show countdown timers to help you track fasting times.
How do I track my prayers?
With Pro, simply click on a prayer in the menu bar dropdown to mark it as completed. You'll see a checkmark appear. View your streaks and statistics in Preferences → Statistics.
How do I restore my Pro purchase?
Go to Preferences → About and click "Restore Purchases". Make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID you used to purchase.
How do I sync across devices?
Enable iCloud Sync in Preferences → General → Sync with iCloud. Your settings and prayer history will sync across all your Macs signed into the same iCloud account.
The app doesn't appear in my menu bar
Try these steps:
- Check if the app is running (look in Activity Monitor)
- Quit and relaunch the app
- Check System Settings → Control Center → Menu Bar Only to ensure menu bar items aren't hidden
- Restart your Mac
How do I request a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, find the PrayerBar purchase, and request a refund.
