By downloading, installing, or using PrayerBar ("the app"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the app.
Description of Service
PrayerBar is a macOS menu bar application that provides:
- Islamic prayer time calculations
- Hijri calendar display
- Prayer notifications
- Prayer tracking
- Statistics and streaks
Prayer Time Accuracy
Prayer times are calculated using established Islamic calculation methods. While we strive for accuracy:
- Times are mathematical calculations based on your location
- You should verify times with your local mosque for important prayers
- We are not responsible for missed prayers due to calculation variations
- Different scholars may have different opinions on calculation methods
Features
All PrayerBar features are completely free:
- Prayer times display
- Hijri calendar
- Smart notifications with Adhan sounds
- Sunrise and sunset times
- Ramadan mode
- Prayer tracking
- Statistics and streaks
- Accent color customization
- iCloud sync
Support the Developer ($9.99 one-time tip):
If you enjoy PrayerBar, you can support continued development with an optional one-time tip. This is entirely voluntary and does not unlock any additional features.
Purchases and Refunds
- Support tip is a one-time optional purchase through the Mac App Store
- All purchases are processed by Apple
- Refunds are handled according to Apple's refund policy
- To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
- Modify or create derivative works based on the app
- Redistribute or resell the app
- Use the app for any unlawful purpose
Intellectual Property
PrayerBar and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by PrayerBar and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:
- Merchantability
- Fitness for a particular purpose
- Non-infringement
- Accuracy of prayer times
Limitation of Liability
In no event shall PrayerBar be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the app.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
Governing Law
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
